Our partner, a well-known German retailer, is seeking a QA Engineer – Supply Chain IT (m/f/d). This is a full-time position in the Düsseldorf metropolitan area, Germany (hybrid work environment).

Relocation from abroad is possible. We will take care of your visa application and relocation to Germany. Your family members (spouse, children under 18 years old) will get a visa as well.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out software testing and quality assurance tasks for supply chain IT systems within the International Procurement Organization (IPO).
  • Support and coordinate test cycles, collaborating with both IT teams and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver consistent and purpose-driven reporting across the IPO supply chain.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and process optimization.
  • Lead efforts to expand test automation in close collaboration with related IT services and product teams.
  • Establish and maintain testing standards and methodologies, ensuring compliance throughout the QA process.
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies for all phases of testing.
  • Create and present testing outcomes and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Your Profile

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing or QA — preferably with supply chain, ERP, or logistics-related systems.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies — including test planning, execution, defect management, and test documentation.
  • Basic skills in test automation — ability to understand and extend automated tests (e.g., Selenium, REST Assured, or similar tools).
  • Hands-on experience with at least one test management tool — ideally Micro Focus ALM, or similar (e.g., Jira + Xray, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile mindset with experience in agile testing methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of software development, test development, and test automation.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to larger audiences.
  • Fluent English skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • ISTQB or ITIL certification
  • Experience with test automation frameworks or scripting
  • Background in supply chain / procurement / retail systems
