Our partner, a well-known German media company, is looking for an IT Auditor (m/f/d), to conduct audits on it's expanding portfolio. This is a full-time position in Munich metropolitan area, Germany.


About the team:

You will be part of a team dedicated to improving IT processes and ensuring the success of audits across business units and functional areas. The team works closely with various departments, including domestic and international subsidiaries, to enhance IT security, control systems, and process efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

  • Independently prepare and execute IT audits across selected business units, both as part of the audit plan and special audits.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of control systems and optimize IT business processes through vulnerability analysis.
  • Evaluate IT infrastructure security, systems, and applications, and collaborate with various departments to improve cross-functional cooperation.
  • Prepare audit reports and independently coordinate results and recommended improvements with department heads.
  • Analyze IT processes from a risk perspective, contributing to the development of a risk-oriented audit plan.
  • Provide recommendations to improve profitability and reduce risk potential.

Required qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics, data analytics, or a related field, along with practical experience in IT auditing or a related IT area (e.g., system administration, programming).
  • Ideally, you hold certifications like CISA, CISM, or CRISC, with several years of experience in ISMS. Additional certifications such as GSNA, CISSP, PCI QSA, or ISO 22301 are a plus.
  • Familiarity with IT frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, BSI standards) and knowledge of IT standards such as ISO or NIST.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to see issues from a holistic business perspective while maintaining IT priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling effective collaboration with IT professionals and CTOs.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
