Our partner, a well-known German international corporation, is seeking a Enterprise Data Lake Platform Manager (m/f/d) to join their team. This is a full-time position located in the Düsseldorf metropolitan area, Germany, with the possibility of partial work from home.
Role Overview: As the Enterprise Data Lake Platform Manager, you will lead and develop an international team, ensuring the seamless operation and evolution of our cloud-based enterprise data lake platform. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the central data processes and frameworks, integrating new data sources, and managing both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously develop an international team of data professionals.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of centrally managed data processes and underlying frameworks for the enterprise data lake platform.
- Plan and coordinate the integration of additional data sources and develop loading pipelines with the team and external partners.
- Ensure the operation of data processes aligns with applicable Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Initiate and manage projects aimed at system improvements and enhancements to development and operational processes.
Qualifications:
- Extensive leadership experience or significant project experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and advanced analytics.
- Over 6 years of experience in management or senior consulting roles within Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Spain, Portugal, Nordics, or the UK.
- Hands-on experience as a developer, solution designer, architect, or operations engineer.
- Proven track record of managing external service providers.
- Strong, assertive team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (at least C1).
- Expertise in designing enterprise data lake/analytics platforms or data warehouses (as a plus).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices (as a plus).
